Slow Down So Your Mind Can Catch Up
Life has a way of putting us on autopilot. We rush from one task to another, answer messages, solve problems, and before we know it, we’re feeling stressed without even realizing it.
Taking slower, deeper breaths is like pressing the pause button. It gives your mind a chance to catch up with what’s happening around you.
Imagine you’re stuck in traffic and you’re already running late. Your first reaction might be to grip the steering wheel, tense your shoulders, and get even more frustrated. But if you take a few slow, deep breaths, your body starts to relax. The traffic hasn’t changed, but you’ve changed the way you’re responding to it.
Sometimes, slowing your breathing is the quickest way to slow your thoughts.
